From 2003 till the present, Yemen Smile and its well wishers have sponsored cleft and other plastic surgeries for over 675 underprivileged patients across Yemen. All the smile units in Aden, Jibla, Taiz, Mukalla, Socotra, Yarim and Sana’a were sponsored for operation theatre equipment by the charity’s well wishers and donors. In particular, the Aden Ras Morbat clinic ward and operation theatre were fully funded by the charity.

From 2010 January, The Smile Train USA offered a partnership to our charity to fund cleft children in Yemen. As a result, 400 cleft children have been sponsored by the Smile Train and DNO Yemen AS across Yemen. Although the help we receive through this partnership continues to be invaluable, we also still have independent clinics and operating programmes.

At this point in time, Yemen Smile urgently needs donations to further equip some of the hospitals we work in, without which we will not be able to continue to function effectively. Our greatest needs are listed below:

Sana`a Centre

Additionally - due to the current political situation in the country and the consequent difficulties we have travelling outside the capital -it has become necessary to establish a centre in Sana’a. For this we still urgently need donations. For approximately $25 you can help cleft children travel from impoverished regions to our centre in Sana'a for free surgery, free medicines and food.
